Dr. Edward S. Casey, Distinguished Professor, Professor Edward S. Casey is one of the leading phenomenologists in North American and has an international reputation as an orginal thinker. His book publications include Remembering: A Phenomenological Study (Indiana, 1993), Getting Back Into Place (Indiana, 1993), The Fate of Place (California, 1999), Imagining: A Phenomenological Study (Indiana, 2000), Earth-Mappings: Artists Reshaping Landscape (Minnesota, 2005), and The World at a Glance (2006, Indiana, forthcoming). The tentative title for his most recent manuscript is The World on Edge. Public Lecture: Coming to the Edge: Reflections on Borders and Boundaries
Dr. Edward S. Casey, Distinguished Professor, Dept. of Philosophy, State University of New York at Stony Brook, and an internationally acclaimed phenomenologist, gave a public address, "Coming to the Edge: Reflections on Borders and Boundaries," and a symposium,"Research Methods in the Wake of Phenomenology." Besides providing an original phenomenologically based and politically relevant theory of borders and boundaries, Casey proved to be a compelling speaker and a generous interlocutor. Graditude for his talk is still being heard a summer after it occurred.
