At the Sept. 13 monthly meeting, DR. NOREEN B. GARMAN, School of Education, University of Pittsburgh, and DR. MARIA PIANTANIDA, Schools of Education and Pharmacy, University of Pittsburgh, gave a presentation on "QUALITATIVE DISSERTATION RESEARCH." The thirty some attendees praised their presentation as enlightening with respect to both the notion of qualitative approaches and to the practical issues involved in gaining acceptance of qualitative dissertations within a research setting dominated by quantitative method.
