Minutes On June 13, as part of the Fourteenth Annual Conference on Ethnographic and Qualitative Research, Drs. Lisa Lopez Levers and Emma Mosley (Education), along with Dr. Levers’ graduate students, gave a multi-media presentation on “Experiences of Racism and African American Responses to the Images of Lynchings in ‘Without Sanctuary’: From Inquiry to Pedagogy.” A CIQR panel composed of Drs. Paul Richer and Connie Fischer (Psych.), Ellen Olshansky (Nursing), and Gary Schank (Education), along with the audience, directed questions and comments to the presenters. Besides the obvious inherent interest of their topics, both panel presentations displayed the variety of approaches that are included within interpretive and qualitative research. |
